Description

Join us for a series of talks on how pupil measurements are being used to investigate auditory processing. Methods and recent results from each speaker's work will be discussed.

Continental breakfast, snacks, and lunch will be provided. Please indicate during registration if you have any special dietary needs.

Invited Speakers (and tentative talk titles or topics):

  • Nicole Ayasse, Brandeis University, USA (Title: "Effects of syntactic complexity and working memory load on comprehension effort")
  • Thomas Koelewijn, Vrije Universiteit Medical Center, NL (Topic: impact of peripheral and central hearing impairment on the attention related pupil dilation response)
  • Stefanie Kuchinsky, University of Maryland (College Park), USA (Topic: The relationships between pupillometry and other neural measures)
  • Daniel McCloy, University of Washington, USA (Topic: Using pupillometry to study attention switching)
  • Matthew McGinley, Baylor College of Medicine, USA (Title: "The pupil reveals fast and slow neuromodulation of perception and decision-making")
  • Ronan McGarrigle, University of Chester, UK (Title: "Using pupillometry to measure listening-related changes in effort and fatigue in adults and school-age children")
